Mr. Lazare’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes. A founding partner and Chairman of the firm’s Insurance Coverage Group, Mr. Lazare has over thirty-six years of insurance experience, having directly handled and overseen well over one thousand such matters since starting the firm in 1993. Mr. Lazare concentrates on representing the interests of domestic and international carriers (at the trial and appellate levels) in third-party and first-party claims and assists insurers in a range of coverage contexts – property/casualty, professional liability, ocean marine, construction defect, and others. He has served as a frequent author and lecturer on issues and trends relative to commercial and personal lines insurance and is the past Chair and Vice-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Committee.
